Cool "Mercury" movie... What does it tell you?

Recently i got to watch the Tamil movie "Mercury", a silent thriller. In fact, It had such a sensitive message and purely excellent execution. But as far as I had read its reviews, they're all about how much loopholes it had and all other issues with it. I'm sure they're really nitpicking, but even some of my friends are like "it wasn't much of a Karthik Subburaj movie and it should have been a shortfilm" and so on. Do you think the same of the movie? Every symbol it had, just pounded a stone in my heart. Every movement had a meaning according to my POV. I think it was a beautiful movie. What's your stand here?

Personally I loved the movie and encourage more Tamil movies to touch these different genre.. mercury is an survival thriller movie.. We all have seen several survival movies in specialy Hollywood.. I felt Mercury was a usaul template as any other ... For example , in such movies one of the less prominent character would lose his sentimental object in the particular place.. characters will die in the order of the prominence.. finally one or two main characters will survive.. still it was interesting to me to watch the film... But at the end suddenly the genre changed to drama. Thriller to drama didn't work out in my POV .. and when they reveal that he is a ghost , I felt like "Is that all? I expected more "... Surely it is not the best of Karthika subbaraj...
And the sound design of this film is highly appreciable .. One of the best in Tamil.. cinematography and visual story telling was superb.. I learned a lot in this film..
It is a good film. But not the one I expected from Karthick subbaraj , the man behind Jigarthanda which made Tamil cinema proud..

Well, I was also kinda expecting an unexpected twist at the end. I was waiting for some twin brother or something. But it turned out to be the usual ghost.
I commend Prabhu deva's acting....A great acting come back, that's for sure.
Even though it had it's flaws, I love that movie.

Exactly! I always imagined Prabhu deva as a remarkable dancer and haven't thought about him as an actor until this movie.
