    These are some the ways I have found!


    • Brute-force (or not) cracking of weak or default usernames/passwords.
    • Privilege escalation.
    • Exploiting unused and unnecessary database services and functionality.
    • Targeting unpatched database vulnerabilities.
    • SQL injection.
    • Stolen backup (unencrypted) tapes.
