Question Is it definition important to life?

While we are facing examinations examiner ask us to write definitions mostly but are we are using those definitions?
There is a Tamil proverb “ ஏட்டுச்சுரக்காய் கறிக்கு உதவாது” This one should be maxim for setting the school curriculum . It illustrates a drawing of the vegetable cannot be used for the cooking. It really means, just knowing something is not the same as being able to do it.

a drawing of the vegetable cannot be used for the cooking but without the drawing how do you know that is the vegetable you're looking for? So I think it is important to have definitions in life but you don't need to study them word by word. Just a rough idea will build up the definition. Not only in studies but also in real life this is important.

In my point of view, sometimes we need simple definitions . Through this only we can have some knowledge on something that we want to remember. But we don't need to memorize the definition. Just a clear understanding on it would be enough. But the actual thing is exams of our country mostly test our memory power than the intelligence.

Yes sure, our examination system should change their views. Instead of asking definitions they can ask questions related to practical life.

For the life we want to study but more than that we must to apply that and practice well otherwise you will failure. There's no need of 4.0 g.p.a without a simple application knowledge. So always concentrate on both. Don't force to memories without understanding yourself. Anyway nice topic Karthi

I think theoretical knowledge is very basic and important to understand the things, but if we didn't practice what we learned then it's a waste. So in my opinion theory and practical both are important to excel in something we learnt.
You're not going to master the rest of your life in one day. Don't stress. Master the day. Make this a daily reminder.
