Thread: Do people with tragedy attract others with tragedy as well?

There is something I've realized recently and my choice of friends have irked a bit of discussion with myself on this.
Is it actually true that people with any kind of tragedy draw people with tragedy as well? Like people with some tragedy become fast friends with those with tragedy even without knowing they had a tragedy in their lives?
Is it some kind of positive or negative energy thingy I'm not aware of?
What do you think?

Usually people who faced tragedy in their life share common feelings so they understand and sympathize each other. I don't whether its attraction or not but sure the share common emotions and empathy.
