Do our names have an effect on our attitude?

Actually, this question sprouted in my head, when a distant relative of our family said that "Names have powers".
The reason for her statement is even though we love eachother, I and my bro fight and argue a lot. A lot a lot. A lot more than average bro and sis. It's like we can't live with each other and we can't live without each other.

So when my mom complainingly told this to the aunt, she said the above thing. For the record, my brother's name means Prankster god and my name means Prankster's friend and the god plays pranks on his friends and often there are fights and complaints firing up between both parties.

So I started thinking. Is there any ounce of truth in what she said? or is it just a coincidence?

It's true, really our name have some power. My dad's name means Sun, he shines in variety of fields. More than that I like to keep his name with my name as a short name. It makes me felling like some kind of energy bonded with me.

Perhaps, but more than likely not. More than likely, it’s because of the family, not the name, that helps create the personality of the child.

I heard that "Words has Power" but didn't know that names have power, maybe aunt is right. But I believe that our thoughts and words have the power to change our lives.
You're not going to master the rest of your life in one day. Don't stress. Master the day. Make this a daily reminder.
