Are fairy tales dumbing down the girl children?

Cinderella... Snow White... Rapunzel... Thumbelina... Ariel... Jasmine... Every princess every kid is familiarized in their childhood is the classic "damsel in distress" looking for their knight in shining armour to save them from danger.

We complain of girls waiting for men to do things for them, we accuse them of not standing up. But we give them these fairy tale princesses for inspiration. Only a few of them like Merida, Elsa and Mulan, others are just hanging in there waiting for a hero.

What do you think of this situation?

Sad but true thing about our childhood, these fairy tales make us believe that we need a man to save us from danger. but when we grow up we get to know the real world and realize the flasehood of fairy tales. so in childhood parents should introduce wonderful women like mother Theresa, Jansi rani and etc to their girl child.
You're not going to master the rest of your life in one day. Don't stress. Master the day. Make this a daily reminder.
