If someone asked you to describe your character how you are going to do that? This may be most probably an interview question.

Is it similar to the question "Tell me something about your self"?

Can someone explain to me whether these are two different questions or the same questions? How can we answer this?

both these question have similarity when someone ask you to describe your character you will just describe your character,but when someone ask you to tell about yourself. You tell them about your character,personality,family, interest,goals and etc.
