The thing unlike current generation kids, we lived our childhood without smartphones and internet,most of us started using smartphones when we entered our adulthood(after 18) So we survived without smartphone,Thus we can survive without it in the future as well. we are the ones who made it as our top priority if we decide we can live without it. it's all in our mindset.
