What is the cheap meals plan for a student?

Going off to university can be overwhelming: get-together with new people, living away from your home and managing your diet in your budget because food expenses are one of the very common budget busters. It has turn out to be a student stereotype that every student’s diet rotates around oily curries and takeaway fast foods. But there so many health foods and recipes we can afford in a cheap price. As a uni student what is the cheap diet plan you would suggest for a fresher?

Always stick with NOODLES! No matter what brand it is, they are our life-savers in heavy rain days!
The takeaways are the tastiest one can actually afford... Otherwise, you just have to get it from your home! No other choice.

Thanks for sharing your experienced opinion Shana, I agree noodles are our lifesavers and as you said If we prefer healthy foods we should cook our self or bring homemade foods.

Thanks for your suggestions Assassin, bread jam and bananas are low budgets yet filling food items.
