Question Parents forcing their unfulfilled dreams on children?

Researches said that parents look at their children as a part of them selves. Parents think that their children will fulfill their broken dreams. So they compel their unfulfilled desires on their children. For example some parent like to wear costly dress to their child which they didn't get in their childhood. And some others send their children to music, dance classes because they like to sing and dance in their childhood. These things are okay. But when it comes to a dream job do you think hoping their child for fulfilling their dream is right?

You are right, many of them push their dreams into their children and this is why many children feel stressful and get low marks.Anything done with an interest won't feel as a burden, but these kind of parents keep forcing their children which may become a threat to their future!

Yeah, it really disturbs them. They may have different ideas and desires about their life. It is like pressurizing their children finding their own interests.

No,It's absolutely wrong,Everyone have the rights to choose their own life path, Like wise children have the full right to choose their own goals.

I think that parents should go with the children's dreams because forcing them even might end up in suicides!

Parents should understand that their children can't live their life/desires. Children can make their parents proud by successful in their own dreams. It is not necessary to think parents' unfulfilled dream as their own.

Well Said Adiza, Some parents thinks it's their children duties to fulfill their unfulfilled dreams. These kinds of parents should realize that the children have their own dreams and desires to achieve and live.
