Why Watches are worn on left hand?

Most people ware their watch on their non- dominant hand. If they were right handed like most are they wear it on their left hand. because people are most active with their dominant hand by this situation people can't work with wrist watch dominant hand. otherwise there aren't any other rules to wear on left hand. but historically women only use to wristwatches men used pocket watches and the pocket watches became popular during the war period of early 20th century. However there are some interesting stories that we can read in web sites.

If you observe carefully, you will notice that this rule has exceptions. Although most people wear watches on their left wrist, some wear it on the right. You might have also heard that men should wear their watches on the left hand while women should wear them on the right.

Thank you for your opinion shivani. But mostly both boys and girls ware watches on their left hand.

It's because majority of the people in this world are right handers so they wear the watch in their non-dominant hand (left). The reason is sometime watch can be inconveient when you write and if you where it in your dominant hand the are high chances for it to got broken.

Is it? I never know that boys should wear watch in left hand and girls on right hand. I much as know mostly both genders are wearing their watch on left hand.
