Why progress is more important than perfection?

There is a famous saying " Go for progress not for perfection." Because being perfect limits our efficiency and effectiveness where progress keep our mind on the growth we continuously learn new things to implement them upon our own growth. Even if something goes wrong our progressive mindset helps us to learn and improve. on the other hand, if we expect perfection we can't accept failures or things going in the wrong way. So I would say in life, progress is more important than perfection. Do you guys agree with that progress is more important than perfection or do you have any contrary view?
