Ransomware is malware that target machines for confidential information then ask for money against it. One of such malware is SamSam ransomware that has gone through an evolution. It is used by attackers, who use dedicated tools to identify the unpatched and unprotected systems online. Once the attackers get through the firewall of computers, they use other tools and scripts to gain credentials and successes of various information and also it downloads additional malicious tools, which may include crypto ransomware. SamSam is not a new one, but the revamped version of this tool may be more disastrous due to technological updates in it.

New version of SAMSAM ransomware demands the hacker to enter the password to execute the virus. I doubt that anti malware is sufficient. because hackers work faster than security solution companies. This is one of the main cause for continual cyber threats. skilled workforce needs to be accommodated to think ahead and act faster.
