Coronavirus Outbreak - All Schools Closed in Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka’s Ministry of Education has taken the decision to close all government and private schools in the nation from today (13th March 2020) until April 20 due to the risk of coronavirus (COVID-19) spreading in the nation. The official said that "this decision has been taken in consideration of the health of the child community." On 12 March 2020, false news was spread by few people in social media that the son of the 52-year-old tour guide who was infected with COVID-19 coronavirus also considered having the infection. But, the Ministry of Health refuted the allegations and was evident that the boy (A/L grade 12 student at Ananda College) who was falsely alleged to have Coronavirus infection was reported later that no symptoms of Coronavirus infection were identified after the thorough check-up.

After these false spreads on social media, Sri Lankan Police requested to the general public of Sri Lanka to not mislead themselves from the false rumors which are spread across the social media channels.
