After the American and France it is confirmed that large market for identity theft is social media. Because of the information on social medias reaches high exposure, active social media users have a 30 percent higher risk of becoming victims. It is reported that specifically Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat users face a 46 percent higher risk of account takeover than those who do not have these social accountsreporter;;:). Identity theft can be several types: Financial, Medical, Employment and Synthetic. Where Synthetic Identity theft combines fabricated and real data to create a fake identity. It is often used to take out loans or to sign up for credit cards. It is not a serious issue in our country for now. But in future it may invade our country too.


So taking precautions in handling our social media details is very important to avoid identity theft.
