Reality shows choose favorite over talented?

Nowadays, most reality shows running for the TRP of the channel. Once a participant attracts the audience with his/her extra efforts of entertainment other than the main chores, people become the serious fan for that particular participant. In another case, some receive sentimental support from people by talking about their personal hardships in the show. Often people failed to choose the talented one in the show:(. When the final result is calculated by people votes, not the talented but the favorite wins:confused:.
