Any StarLord/Peter Quill haters here?

After watching Avengers:Infinity War, all I could think about was the StarLord.
**Spoilers**
The tantrum he threw over the death of Gamora, was that necessary at that time?
Mourning is one thing, but what he did was idiotic,hypocritical and immature. He tried stopping Drax from attacking Thanos, even when he knew that Thanos killed Drax's entire family. And then, at the end, the mighty StarLord blotched up the only plan that could have saved half the universe.
But when i say this out loud, I hear people coming to rescue him, saying that he was distraught.
Anyone who stands with me?

Yes. It was absolutely idiotic.. but if he didn't do that the story would have ended at that point😂😂

Yeah, it would have ended. But people would have survived.
But I don't know whether it's also one of the possibilities that Dr.Strange saw through the Eye of Agamotto.
But I hate Quill and his death was a justified one.

That's True, But we can't points him totally. He is 50% human he said. So it's his nature. What will we do at that time???

Being 50% human is not a defect. Even Drax, a total alien was angry about the death of his family and wanted to kill Thanos. And about that "what would have we done" part, it's hard to say since we're not a part of that universe and any conclusion we arrive on will be somewhat partial. Instead,Let's think about what would have Gamora,his better half done at that time? Or Dr.Strange. Dr. Strange had his emotions under control, even when it was about saving the lives of IronMan or Spidey. He chose saving the Time Stone, because he knows the effect it would bring about, if he even considered about gratitude and sympathy.

What Quill did was utterly stupid and his human heritage has nothing to do with it.
