Do you happen to have a very common first name?

TBH, my real name(not Shana, duh!)is too common wherever I go. Wherever I am, there will be already someone with my name, or someone will arrive soon with my name. It's frustrating to know that so many people share my name. Seriously, when someone calls my name, they wouldn't be calling me most of the time. But every time, I have to crane my neck to check whether it wasn't for me. And that is the tip of the berg.

I honestly like my name, though it's too common as coconut. But I feel like I'm losing my originality over my name. It doesn't have to be unique, but it 'd be better if not more than 2 people share the same name at the same place. It gets damn confusing!

Are you one of those unfortunate souls to go through this?
Would you change your name if you get a chance?

I can understand your feeling, My case is different from you, My name is rare people struggle to pronounce correctly. I yet to meet a person who hold the same name as mine. And I feel my name include as one of the uniqueness-es of mine :). I also love my name love;;:) I hate when people pronounce it very wrongly.
