Is it right animals being used for testing new drugs and medical procedures?

It is very cruel and inhuman to test new medicines and drugs on innocent animals. But to test those new drugs there is no other option available.
From the very earlier time, the researchers testing drugs with animals. Animals suffer and die because of false products:(.
But, the medical industry has developed so far. So they can find new options to test the chemical products. Still why they are testing it on animals:confused:

If we think with humanity it's absolutely wrong to test drugs on animals and sometimes kill them in the process. But when we compare human life or animal life usually we give priority to human life.
