Examination: Has it killed the actual purpose of education.

Education gives us a knowledge of the world around us and changes it into something better. It helps to create a perspective about the life and the things around us.
We always apply the knowledge we gained from the education in our life. But when it comes to examination, it seems like testing our memory power.
The real purpose of education is sometimes questioned because of this impractical examinations. It tests our memory than intelligence.

Are you feeling same as the way I'm feeling? What are the problems in our current education and examination systems?

Hi Adisa,

I am disagree with You , We haven't any exams in our studies We are not fully Consecrate our studies .
Some of us only learn when our exams times .So In my opinion ,exam not killed our actual purpose education.

But our education based on theory wise ,they should change into Practical wise exams .

When it comes to exams most of the students focus on scoring marks than gain knowledge but it's not the fault in examinations but it's on our Sri Lankan education system. So, examinations not killed our education but our education system that killed original education.
