Can the hate on someone turn to love suddenly?

They say "Love and hate has a fine line between them". They say "Love and Hate are flip sides". Do you really believe that hate you have on someone could turn in to a limitless love?
In movies and in series, the protagonist would hate a person and considers that person an arch enemy. Then somehow, that hate turns into love somehow.

Can you feel sudden admiration and respect on someone you hated for some reason?
Is it actually possible for someone to love a hated person?

Hi Shana,

As you said in movies and novel there are plenty of chances for "hate turn into love" but I doubt is it possible in real life. Anyways I have to admit it that I am a die heart fan of hate love stories,it's really interesting to watch and read love;;:)
