Romance- an inevitable struggle to express your love for a loved one.
But I've heard men complaining about doing romantic stuff for the better half and worrying if what they do, impresses their woman.

And often men say that they would give anything to read a woman's mind and know what she'd find romantic, just so that they could impress her easily.

I think when a man acting responsible and caring towards a girl /woman it looks romantic, their small gestures of care have a great impact.
