Will the world ever come to an end?

We've heard too many hoaxes such as the end of the world in 2012 and 2020 and some other random years.
But my question is will there be an end to our world?
IS the story of an apocalypse true?
Will the earth be actually destroyed with us in it?

I don't know whether world (earth) will be destroyed or not but there can be a end to human beings or other living beings in this world (earth) like the end of dinosaurs.
