What is the worst thing that society accepts as a cultural norm?

In our local social groups we have some set of cultural norms, They are the shared expectations and rules that guide the behavior of people.
It mainly learned and reinforced from parents, elders, and teachers.There are certain horrible cultural norms out there which is accepted by our society.

I agree with you , My mother also a widow and she herself believe that she is a taboo because this society treated her like that ,It took me a lot of time and effort to change her mind.As you said this situation should be change then only widows also live a happy life.

Another worst norm I have seen is that Men should do repairs at the house and be the one to work and make money while women are expected to take care of the housework and children.
But in future, this is a little bit getting change.

Reality TV A child born today, left in front of the TV for the first few years of their lives, learns above all, that the way to be famous and adored is to act like a terrible person. We’re celebrating people for doing absolutely nothing. It’s not just creepy, it’s straight up scary.

Cast is the most mad culture of our soceity within certain number of people.
Then sexual restrictions is the second one.
Men are being considered as money making machines and when they are unable to make money they are looked seen in an awkward manner.
Girls are avoided in temples during their periods is a very mad thing because it's a part of the human reproduction process which keeps our species alive.
Arranged marriage is considered proud by some families.
Getting a government job is considered safe which means they don't have confidence in their selves.
We can talk a full day about such problems. We have to reconsider many of our culture

Omg,You have listed so many cultural norms,I accept the above cultural norms should be changed ,But there is a scientific reason behind girls are avoided in temples during their periods.
