Is money over-rated?

A couple of weeks back, my friend told me something that confused me to the core. I'm a person who's very careful about money and I keep account what I owe others. So when he heard about my habit, he said that money doesn't matter, because it could be earned easily. So he doesn't actually worry about it very much.

I couldn't take that as a rude or boastful comment, because as I know he's a very sensible, logical person. But what he said confused me a bit.

Do you really think money isn't worth that much?
Shouldn't we actually concentrate on saving money?

For me also i didn't give that much of priority to money than education, talents and good habits. Because we can earn money when we put a little bit of hard work but good heart or habits can't come like that. If i take you as an example when you save money a lot and suddenly you met some robbery or something you lost all but if you have a good hearten friend even you died he will help to your family or someone related to you.

So more than money you must save good people in your life. It's the important saving in life.

Money become as a important need in our life, but we shouldn't connect our happiness with money. And earning money is much easier than earning happiness in life.

True medusa we earn money with our efforts and hard work. but it hard to earn good people in our life.
