Have you feel empathy and sympathy?what are different between empathy and sympathy?

We normally understand ,empathy and sympathy are same point of view.
But, two are differ from one to another.

"Empathy"
The specific emotion that refers to someone's who is feeling empathetic feels varies depending on the situation.
For Instance: I feel your pain.

"Sympathy"
A person's emotional hardships & providing .
For Instance: I am sorry that you're in pain.

What I ask from you?How we can feel empathy & sympathy and which one is need for us?

Sympathy is a feeling of pity and compassion for other person's pain or sorrow while empathy is a ability to put yourself in the place of another person and understand their pain and sorrow.
