Startups: Ways to brighten them up?

A startup is a company that works to solve a problem where the answer is not obviously successful nevertheless not even guaranteed to be a success.

A company which is less than 5 years old can be called a startup. There are a lot of young people out there who go for startup events to pitch their ideas in order to start their own startups with the help of business investors.

Recently the startup event held this past week at Rajarata University, Anuradhapura was a great inspiring successful event that eventually helped a lot of youngsters to pitch their business ideas in front of some of the famous successful entrepreneurs in Srilanka.

As I have defined what a startup means, can somebody tell me some of the best ideas that can lighten up a startup from failures, maybe not instantly in no time of course, but yes step by step?
