North flood affect and regionalism discrimination!

Hello guys,

You all might be heard about the recent flood happened in the north side of Sri Lanka. Which caused so much damage to the people, Now they are being refuged at schools and temples. They are in need of necessary goods like food, water, dresses, medicines and etc. But they are getting very little help from the government and the people of Sri Lanka. On the other hand, when this kind of flood happened in the west and south side of Sri Lanka there were so much social media sharing about the incident and many government officials and organizations rushed to helped the people. The same people become invisible when a similar situation happened in the north side. Media also instead of trying to help the needy people they are more focus to promote the flood as a natural disaster. Why this discrimination behaviour between the north and south side people of Sri Lanka? We all are Sri Lankan and moreover, we all are humans. Then why this regionalism between people? Are we lost our basic humanity?
