Do PCs really need an anti-virus Software?

Hey folks, Everyone we must have at least one PC it may be Desktop or Laptops. The question is installing an anti virus program is necessary or not? Because in our PC we have already windows defender program. I used Kasperskey as antivirus in my laptop and 3 years continuously i renew and buy new one. But i feel without antivirus software i can maintain only with the help of Defender.

How do you guys feel about it? Is it good or bad? Tell me your suggestions.question:;;:)

I think windows defender is not sufficient to protect yourself from increasing and smart cyber threats. in my personal experiment, I have installed malware bytes premium trial and tested, It was able to capture most of the threats and protect my PC and data and then I have disabled the malware bytes, and performed same actions, windows defender was unable to capture the possible threats. Hope this information is helpful!
