I was thinking that wired connections which we use to data flow between peripherals and computer are secure are not prone to data leakage. But there are researches said that the ubiquitous USB connections used to connect all manner of devices to computers are prone to data "leakage" which can compromise data security. This happens with external USB hubs, which leaks data to an external USB device in the form of voltage fluctuations. Due to the voltage fluctuations, the USB port's data lines able to be monitored from adjacent ports!!!.

Any idea about how can we make sure that our USB is not prone to data leakage? Do we need encryption for USB as well?
