GitHub, the world's largest developer community for coding and web development, has presented a new security practice for its users. To preserve the security and resilience of user accounts, GitHub announced a new password and two-factor authentication. GitHub has created an internal version of the HavelBeenPwned.com website, which allows users to see if there has been a security breach in their emails and passwords. The creator of the website, Troy Hunt, also created a data set of approximately 517 million committed passwords and made them available on the website.
