Every object need a force to move or stay still. If a galaxy want to stay still it needs a permanent center spot. black hole is that permanent center spot for galaxy.

i think during big crunch, the universe will shrink and reabsorbed into black hole. Again big bang will start as expansion, comesout from black hole.
