    10 Roarsome Interesting Facts about Lions

    Lions are symbols of strength and courage and they have been celebrated throughout history. Here are some interesting facts about lions.

    1. African lions are more socialize than all other big cats and they live in groups.
    2. Lions live for about 10-14 years in the wild.
    3. Lions can reach speeds of up to 81 kph.
    4. The heaviest lion on record weighed an amazing 375 kg
    5. An adult male’s roar can be heard up to 8 kilometers.
    6. A female lion needs 5kg of meat a day. A male needs 7kg or more a day.
    7. Lions have terrific night vision.
    8. Lions enjoy relaxing and lazing around nearly 16 and 20 hours each day.
    9. At 3 to 4 years old, males and females lions are ready to mate.
    10. Lionesses are caring mothers.

    It's interesting, Earlier I watched his bond with lions on Animal planet (I think so not sure about the channel) , I totally amazed with his bond with lions.
