Thread: Media culture is the main reason to promote the habit of smoking among teens?

Teens judge 'Smoking is cool', when they watch their favorite celebrities blowing out smoke rings in the movies and TV shows, which encourages them to try it out. Eventhough media keeps telling everytime the danger of smoking through advertisements, still the effect is same. Do you think the films and TV shows always be the first to influence them to do so?. I don't think movies are the only reason.Teens also get influenced by those they really admire and the so called "role models".When a teenager encounters that their role model feels cool about having a habit of smoking or drinking liqueur too much they start to believe that it's actually a right thing to do! Later on they start discussing about this with their friends and insist them to do so.Here the chain begins. This is really a sad thing indeed.
May be some awareness on social media through memes and videos could help it better.
