In our country, I had to overcome the gender bias to prove that I'm a techie.

There's a common belief that IT world is men's world. It is true to some point. Proving my self-worth in my uni involved loads of hard work to make myself the shine in my batch. I just hate that I had to prove myself in the first place. Of course, I wasn't a techie when I entered my uni. But I learn fast and that still surprises my peer boys. In my 1st year, no one trusted me with coding stuff, but now I lead a team of boys for any projects.

When have you experienced such partiality or bias which resulted in underestimation?
Hi,
I have faced the same kind of a project. These days I am completing my final year project the group is consist of 4 girls. This is some kind of standard project using most of the difficult technologies and IOT part.
When boys and some of the academic staff get to know that we, only the girls are doing these projects they are getting wonder. But I feel it is not hard to continue it only with girls.
