Thread: What's the reason behind the outdated syllabus of universities?

Nowadays the number of courses in the universities has increased alot and many new courses have been introduced as well.However the syllabus of many courses has not been updated since many years.This leads the students to face difficulties in getting jobs; most of them are rejected due to less practical knowledge and less knowledge about the latest technology. The students who follows IT related courses are mostly affected.

What's the reason behind this deviation?What could be the solution for this problem?

I think the syllabus of the courses which updates frequently should be revised every year. The University Grant Commision should possibly do something to reduce the process time for the syllabus revising. The most time Universities apply for the syllabus change requests, but UGC and Universities communication and implementation process is too slow to do any changes.

So the fault is in the government side, they should take necessary action, I have a doubt, does university syllabus change every year?
