Thread: What is the most creepy sound at the middle of the night?

When I sleep at night, trying to sleep at night, the creepiest and scariest sound is the sound of calendar pages waving to the fan. For some reason, something so trivial as this creeps me off.
Even the dog howls is not so creepy as the calendar sound.

So what is your creepy sound at the middle of the night?
What scares you even to open your eyes after hearing that sound?

I hate when an owl 'mmm's that wakes me up in the middle of the night!
