Although you can try continuous improvement without a clear process, you will be more successful if you set a plan to follow. The pattern I outline today is the one we need to follow to install continuous improvement. It called as PDCA steps.

The steps of the PDCA cycle are as follows:

  • Planning: identifying and preparing for change.
  • Doing: Implementing change and trying to improve the process.
  • Verification: Monitoring the results and consequences of change.
  • Acting: Implement change at large and apply it to other areas of your life.
